From the artist:
"Cosmic Collisions is loosely based on the figure of a bull. The abstracted bull shape looks animated, surprised or ready to engage in play. Through the abstracted form, the work references the Indus Valley Painted Terracotta Bull from 2600 BC to 1900 BC from the Western India region. Many ancient cultures have different traditions of worship and ritual premised on the symbolism of the bull to invoke strength and power.
Cosmic Collisions invokes the surprised feeling of a brief encounter when meeting someone new. An instant recognition and familiarity that goes beyond the physical and to an instinctive level."
