Plant Sentience II

"After spending time in the Amazon Jungle and taking part in the sacred plant medicine ceremonies of the Huni Kuin tribe I became more aware of the concept of “plant sentience”. This concept raises questions on how we perceive and treat other life forms. Understanding, acknowledging and really feeling plant sentience can influence our ethical considerations in agriculture, conservation and environmental practices. It also challenges the notion of
humans as the sole sentient beings and encourages a more respectful and compassionate approach towards all living organisms. These works are a desire to tap into the visual energetic field around a plant that is not typically seen by our limited vision."
