Tommaso Fiscaletti
Tommaso's inspiration arises from human connection, nature in all its forms, as well as literature and cinema.
Tommaso is originally from Italy but since 2013 lives and works in Cape Town
Tommaso has
- exhibited his projects locally and internationally
- presented his work at the Bardo Museum in Tunis (2025), together with four other artists invited to create an in situ project.
- installed a 250-square-metre photograph on a building in Pesaro(2024), Italy, as part of the project The Skin Underneath, in collaboration with the Italian anthropologist Nicola Perugini.
- worked on a six-year multimedia project called Hemelliggaam or The Attempt To Be Here Now, with Nic Grobler and a team of scientists. A project that moves between astronomy and Afrikaans science fiction novels(2016-2022).
- been teaching Photography at the Creative Academy in Cape Town
