Old bedroom lock

"This is a small painting of my childhood bedroom door lock. The enamel has chipped away over decades of use, It doesn’t fit properly and it’s slightly skew. I think all this detail holds personality, it holds a history and it holds a record of everytime the door has been closed or opened. It's remarkable in a modest way. These are the types of architectural moments I’d look for during this residency."
