"At sunrise, the congregation assembles amongst freshly whitewashed graves on Easter Sunday. As the light of the new day emerges, the brass band plays and hymns are sung in honour of those who have passed away. "Die Verganklikheid II" is a meditation on the fleeting nature of life, but it is also an attempt to celebrate lives lived and those we continue to love."
