Prepared Kafan

The body of work comprises a group of quiet, deliberately composed roomscapes — paintings that register human presence only through small, telling traces: an indentation on a sofa, a faint stain on a rug, a nail where a picture once hung. On some walls there are photographs, but the reflective glare of the glass renders the faces beneath barely discernible. The rooms themselves are tidy and calm in their symmetry, and it is precisely this orderliness that heightens the sense of something withheld.
