Ready nail

"This is a painting of a nail. It is very small and it’s very quiet but it is hard not to see. Sometimes there are objects that act as a bridge between architecture and things, furniture or artworks. The nail is such a bridge. It connects our personal items to our homes with quiet power. It's familiar, it’s relatable and it’s often not moved. We tend to work around it if it’s in the wall when we get there, but it is always ready." Guy Simpson
