"When going though the book “Neue Schweizer Chalets” from the 1960's, I became inspired by architectural plans and styles of Swiss chalets. The overlap of these simple, linear drawings was the starting point for paintings from this body of work. 'Le Ziutre' is inspired by a chalet called Le Ziutre in Crans-sur-Sierre in Switzerland."
